River Sage And The Dream World

So last night before going to sleep I burned some sage that my husband brought home from the river.  It smelled a lot more fragrant than our culinary sage that we grow in our backyard.  I meditated on what I would like to have a dream about.

When I lay down to sleep I had the most peculiar dream.  The dream took place outdoors at what looked like a park.  I was sitting in a picnic chair and my sister Desiree was braiding my hair in cornrows.  The I went to feel which way she was braiding my hair.  The cornrows were going in an upward direction like how I use to cornrow my own hair when I first decided to do my own hair when I was a little girl.

I looked at a tree and saw it was slowly getting covered with huge locusts.  The locusts were the size of a huge crow.  I am going to attempt to draw this dream .

I felt every nuance and essence of this dream as if it was the waking world. I do believe that the dream world and the waking world are connected.  I can remember as a child thinking about what happens when I fall asleep to my body and my soul.  Pretty deep thoughts for a 5yr. old huh.

Thank you all who have been following my blog here.  Please do share it with your friends and family if you think that they would be finding this sort of info about the dream world to be fascinating.  Herbs  can affect how you feel and see the world most definitely!

Cannabis and Dream Recall

So last night I smoked less than half  joint of Cannabis and I had full dream recall.  A bit o lucid dreaming as well.  The main dreams that I experienced was about this actor from a show that I use to watch in the waking world called Dirty Jobs.  It took place outside at what look like a park nearby  where I live in my waking world. Mike Roe is the name of the actor.  He had no shirt on and looked like he had been crying.  It told me, Kurt and Leo that his cat died.  I went over to him immediately to give him a hug.  I know how hard it is to lose a cat.  I lost 2 cats in my lifetime so far.  He pushed me away and said,"  No I want Leo."  In the dream my feelings were hurt.  I walked away feeling depressed.

Then there was another dream where my cat Bart and I were standing in our front yard.  We both saw this mostly white cat that had a few black spots on him. I knew my mind that Bart was going to eat this cat because in the waking world this same exact cat comes to our house because I believe that he is a stray.  In this dream Bart swallowed that cat whole.  And I thought in my mind, "Oh he's going to throw up." Sure enough Bart threw up a bunch of white fluid.

So just to let you know before I laid down to sleep.  I lit a candle on my altar and I asked Arch Angel Michael if he could help me out in the dream world.  And I smoked less than half a joint of Cannabis.

In conclusion I have had more dream recall with Cannabis than Mugwort.  That is not to say that Mugwort does not work for dream recall.  It is just the way that it affected me.

And also I woke up with a Doors song in my head again.  The one with the words :" Don't you love her when she's walking out the door."

Most people say that they do not experience dream recall when partaking of Cannabis but obviously that is not the case with me.  And I do believe that I am not the only one.

Sweet Dreams all

Mugwort Smudging For Dream Recall and Lucidity

Last night I put a little less than a handful of mugwort into  a bowl I use for smudging with herbs.  I walked around my bedroom smudging every area.  Especially the area near my side of the bed. I then sat down to let the herb burn almost completely out. As the smoke was filling the air in my bedroom a candle was lit on my alter. I asked mugwort to please send me a lucid dream or help with dream recall.

I felt the same sensation in my body of lucidness and sleepiness when I laid my head down.  And believe me the room was definitely filled with the aroma of mugwort.  It was very pleasant to me.  Yet I can only remember a small fragment from my dream.  I remember someone telling me that they don't like the gym shorts that I like to wear all of the time.  In the waking world I do have a pair of gym shorts that I like to wear that are old and too big for me. But geesh I only wear them around the house when painting or doing messy art work.

I wouldn't say that mugwort does not work in the dream world for everyone.  But just didn't work for me this week.  A good friend suggest putting rosemary with the mugwort.  I think I will be trying this tonight because what the heck I still have some mugwort leftover. And I have a good amount of rosemary as well. I am going to do more research about smoking rosemary and the effects it has on the dreamworld .

I had way better experiences with moldavite incense burned while sleeping.

I will report back tomorrow.

Smoking Mugwort For Dream Recall Again

So last night I smoke a full bowl of mugwort instead of the pinch of mugwort I smoked the night before.  I thought smoking more would have a stronger effect.  I once again lit a candle and sat before my altar asking the herb mugwort to help with dream recall that pertains to what I need to know here in the waking world.  As before the experience of smoking mugwort was very calming.  When laid down to sleep I felt a sharp pain in the bottom of my right foot.  It was very painful.  Instead of getting up to alleviate the pain I just waited for the pain to subside.  It did eventually.

I felt tired and restless at the same time.  Almost as if I ate a cannabis cookie that had sativa strain in it. When I finally fell asleep I dreamed of many things. None of which I can recall clearly.  But when I woke up all that I can remember is the intials M Y V and the doors song Don't You Love Her Madly was in my mind when I woke up.

Very strange.  I was a bit disappointed with the mugwort.  I thought that smoking it would surely bring on the lucid dreams and dream recall most certainly.  But actually I have had much more lucidity and dream recall smoking cannabis.

So tonight I am going to burn the mugwort like a smudge stick and see what happens.  I will talk in more detail about this experience and the other experiences on my show Dream Talk on Friday.  Be sure to check it out on my channel The Productive Cannabis Conoisseur  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAlbB17Xl6ebhrTrnHyc7FQ

Smoking Mugwort For Dream World Asssistance

So you know what experiment I adventured upon the previous night with drinking the Mugwort tea.  Last night I smoked a pinch of Mugwort.  I felt light headed and sleepy. I  sat before my altar asking the plant helper mugwort to please give me some dreams I can recall upon awakening.  I must say that I did not recall any dreams from last night.  This does not alarm me though. I am going to try again tonight.  I think that there was interference when I heard my husband next to me snoring.  That seems to mess up my dream recall sometimes.

I have to admit that the Mugwort is a very smooth smoke.  I just think also that I didn't smoke enough.  I only had a pinch of it. So tonight I am going to smoke a whole pipe full.  I was probably being overly cautious.  That is how I am with anything new.  Better to have too little than too much.  But from all that I have been reading about Mugwort I get the feeling that it is just about harmless.

I will report back after tonight's adventure.

Mugwort Brought Me Hawthorn Berries

So if you are still following along you know about my experiment with mugwort tea.  One of the helping messages was hawthorn.  I heard mention of the word hawthorn in my dream.  I thought automatically that hawthorn must be an herb because before sleeping I asked the spirit of the herb mugwort to help me with a specific issue in my life.

I read that hawthorn is  good for in order to:

Improve cardiovascular health

Helpful for dealing with anxiety

Helps Eliminate Bad Cholesterol
from the blood stream

Powerful Antioxidant

Helps in treating insomnia

Might help  with metabolism of fat

Indigestion

These are all of the things that hawthorn berries provide.  All of which I could use surely.  I may have to purchase some soon.

I will keep you all posted on this as well.

Mugwort and Lucid Dream Experiment #1

So if you are following along so far on my mugwort and dreaming adventure then you will know that at about 3am yesterday I drank a cup of mugwort tea before going to sleep.  After I drank this tea I felt very drowsy and numb like my fingers couldn't type on the keyboard. Right before I laid my head down to rest I lit a candle on my altar.  I ask the mugwort to please assist me in having a lucid dream that can help me with a specific situation in my life. Dealing with some financial matters.

I also had the intuition to burn a piece of dried clove.  It was a pleasant warm smell.  I got into bed and as I laid my head on my pillow my head felt a lot of pressure in it. I figured that feeling would subside and indeed it did. I felt a bit restless but I think it was because I was a bit irritable before going to bed.  I remind you that I am on my moontime and I can get very moody during this period of losing blood.  Once I fell asleep I felt active in my dreams.  The only things that I can recall from my dreams is a very colorful tennis shoe underneath a chair in nature.  It looked like Van Gogh painted it.  There was so many layers of vibrant colors on  the shoe.  It kind of reminded me of the movie I saw a long time ago with Robin Williams in it called What Dreams May Come. The vibrancy of that shoe was very mesmerizing.

The other thing I can remember was hearing the mention of a herb called Hawthorn.  I don't know if it is indeed an herb this Hawthorn but once I find out I will tell you.

Tonight I plan on smoking the mugwort instead of drinking the tea.  Although I did find the tea quite pleasant until I got to the bottom of the cup.

Dream World and Mugwort.

So it is 3:23 am on a Tuesday.  I took an exceedingly long nap at 6 pm and didn't wake up until about 11:00 pm.  When I woke up I was disoriented and very upset because I slept so long and planned on making a really nice dinner for my family.  I am on my 4th day of my Moon Cycle and I know that can make my emotions run extremely high.

About 2 minutes ago I started drinking a cup of Mugwort Tea.  I only put about a teaspoon's worth of this herb in a coffee filter and steeped it for about  2 minutes. This is the first time I have taken this specific herb as a tea.  I read about it recently.  I found out that it helps people recall their dreams and that it acts as a plant guide in your dream time.

People have also reported that Mugwort gave  them really lucid dreams.  I have lucid dreams often so I wonder if it will increase the amount of lucid dreams. It is also known to give some dreamers astral travel adventures.  I have astral traveled many times but it was never completely planned out before I went to sleep that was my intention.

I have the intention with Mugwort to ask this herb if I can be guided to find a way to stay emotional balanced through out the day to help me stay focused.  When I am on my moon time things can get a bit discombobulated in my head.  I smoke Cannabis on a regular basis so that helps with concentration big time.

It is now over 10 minutes into drinking the Mugwort Tea and I must say that I am feeling a bit drowsy and you know what this tea does not taste as bitter as I have read many to describe herb to be.  I did however put a pinch of spearmint in with it.

Sailors are said to have used it to smoke in place of tobacco. They found that Mugwort was much less harsh on the the throat than tobacco. Tomorrow I will experiment in the nighttime with smoking it to see what effects it has on my body for bedtime.

I will report on the effects and my dream time tomorrow as a result of ingesting Mugwort Tea.  I must say that so far I feel drowsy and feel it hard to continue you typing.  Yet the taste of the Mugwort is quite pleasant to me.

Pleasant Dreams
